Hopefully I'll be going to Africa next month to do some voluntary First Aid work. I'm getting a Yellow Fever injection done next week and it was recommended that I get injected for Rabies as well. Well, i am half way into my second semester of my junior year at a private college and am beginning to get outrageously frustrated with my clearly incompetent Marketing "professor". Pain from playing guitar in Intermediate Phalanges?

Hi there. I've been playing guitar for about a year and a half now. About 6 months ago i was experiencing really bad pain on my fretting hand (left). it was between my pink and ring knuckles. That pain is gone now. where im feeling pain is called the intermediate phalanges. its on my ring finger and on the middle part of it. below the fingernail and above where a wedding ring usually goes. If this is a guitar that has seen a lot of use, you probably have some frequently-played (and consequently, worn) frets that are causing the strings to contact the less-played (and higher) frets. If the guitar is fairly new, it is possible that some of the frets are not fully seated, causing the same problem. Using a straight-edge will identify the offending frets, and the appropriate action (e.g., dressing or re-seating) can be taken by a qualified technician. Not a big deal to fix. Best regards, Dana

Natural Non Comedogenic Foundation for Combination Skin?

I would like to start experimenting with make-up a little more and want to find a natural foundation that won't clog my pores. If you were to audition a bass player for your band...?

You sound like a proficient bassist so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a band. Bass players aren't the easiest thing to find. I've been in many bands and the truth is they are going to hire the best canidate, so it's really impossible to know just how much talent it takes to get any one audition. I do know that when I'm looking for people they have to not only play well, but also be cool to hang out with since band mates have to spend a lot of time together, and they have to be reliable and easy to work with. Those aspects are as important as talent to me.

My babies are now 6 and 3 years old. But I agree with just about everything you said. I also breastfed and I always say that if you can stick it out those first few weeks, then it becomes easy. My nipples were sore, hurt, bled, with both kids but happily breastfed for a long time with each one and will always miss it. I was a reader and preparer too and nothing in those books prepare you for real life but I was so thankful that I have a natural mother's instinct and when I wasn't sure, I could call my mom for help. We moved into a rental house in Feburary, the past few weeks we've been seeing these flying roaches quite often. Can high school second semester grades be changed? I had just gotten my report card at the beginning this week and noticed I had a B in drama. I am a pretty good student and probably one of the top 2 in my drama class. The teacher even wanted me to be in advanced drama for the school plays. About the plucking noise when you hold the string you have to hold that string down HARD with the tip of your finger (not your nail). Thats why songs are always talkin about "...played until my fingers bled...."-Summer of 69 song... You will actually get blisters then your fingers will be hard after playing a while. They sell diapers, covers, inserts, and diaper-related gear and have great explanations about what items go with what items, how the fits are different, and how to clean and care for things. BTW, inserts are extra absorbent material that you use in addition to the cloth diaper to make them last a bit longer. They can be made out of different things and they are like a liner to put inside the diaper. You may or may not need them, depending on how you use them and on your baby. Good luck. No and it's good that you feel guitar playing is easier on acoustic than electric. It's because since acoustic has alot more tension with the strings than electric, it's making your hand "stronger". Just practice acoustic more and you should be shredding like a pro on electric soon. I need to drop a math class. I'm horrible at it and my professor really isn't the greatest. The only problem I have is that it puts me 1 point under what I need for financial aid/stay on campus. I have no intentions of returning to college next semester because I have other issues in my life that need to be worked out. My hair used to be curly and now it won't even curl. What's wrong?

My hair was thick and curly ever since I was born and my hair started growing. I've dyed my hair multiple times and it never really effected it until recently. My hair is now in between wavy and straight, but it just poufs out and gets frizzy (though not outrageously frizzy unless it rains or is humid out) and there's nothing I can do to it. I try curling it and it won't hold. My hair never used to be frizzy when it was curly. Electric guitar weakness?

Ok is it me or is it a weakness with guitars. It's happened on both my old and new one. Guitar Technical Question!?

on my high e string the lower frets (like frets 1 2 3 etc.) appear to be slightly sharp on the tuner. The higher frets such as 17,18,19 etc. appear flat on the tuner. i have repeatedly tried to fix this by intonating with the floyd rose tremolos saddles but i cannot figure out what is wrong here. please help this is so frustrating!

Should i play lefty or righty guitar?

I've been playing guitar for about 1 year now, and I am not really sure what hand I should play. I am a natural born lefty playing a righty and when I play the righty way my fretting hand has no problem but it seems that my picking hand can never reach the precision that my left hand has when I flip the guitar over....the catch is tho when I flip the guitar to the lefty side my fretting hand feels awkward and cannot move as well on the fretboard as it did when it was played righty....any advice on this? hi everyone, this is my story- l have been married to a once wonderful man for over ten years and l have two babies with him. We shared and experienced a wonderful few years together and then we had a rough year but survived it but then sadly the last year and a half has been the most painful and worst year of my life. l dont recognise him anymore and despite all my efforts to communicate with him , help him and love him he shuts me out of his life and treats me appallingly. He has abandoned me during my pregnancies, socialises independent of me , vacations with other people , verbally and mentally abuses me all the time , judging me and mocking me all the time, quick to criticise and always leaves me to bear the responsibility of our children and finances whilst he spends his money pursuing his destructive interests. He has friends l know nothing of and am not allowed to meet , he goes out with other women and disappears for days and weeks not contacting me and telling me its none of my business if l enquire about his whereabouts, he has not supported me with the children and argues that we need to spend as little time as possible together, he continually messes and enjoys messing with my feelings and head and one day wants to leave me and other days is talking about a future together . the only times when he is decent towards me is when he needs my help in anyway and l obligingly and happily always give it to him and yet he is never there for me or the children. l am exhausted from never knowing where l stand with him. l would walk away but we live in my home and so l cant leave . l am well educated and financially independent of him, yet l cant bear to have him leave me , he has destroyed us and our relationship and yet he places the blame on me. He doesnt want to talk and if l try to talk to him he mocks me and pulls funny faces hurting me delibrately with nasty comments,.l feel as if l am hurtling fast towards depression and for some inexplicable reason dont have the courage to ask him to leave as l cant accept that this is how things have ended between us, everything seems surreal but this outrageously unfair treatment cant continue and l have even seriously contemplated and made a failed attempt at taking my own life as it would be easier for him to be happy and have the children then for us to continue this way. l dont know why l feel as if l cant live without him because l know that he is not good for me or our babies. all l ever wanted was a peaceful , happy life and l couldnt have got further from it and l cant believe that this is happening and has happened to us. It's just the way the system was set up. Someone, at some point, decided to name the notes that way. If you actually think about it, there are an infinite number of tones between each note. There are, for example, sounds you can make between an A and an A# (I know because I seem to sing that note all the time when I'm trying to sing an A!). They could have just numbered each half step 1 - 13 instead of using letters at all, but someone decided to use those letters and set it up the way it is.

Adjusting a guitar action?

Just got a new floyd rose type guitar and notice that the action was too high after the 12 fret and made it impossible to play. i tried to adjust the truss rod, but that only had affect in the first few frets. then i lowered the bridge and still didn't get any results. Okay so I've only been playing guitar for a couple of days and I'm taking lessons and stuff but when I look up chords to songs I like they have the capo on a fret and then the chords are all above the capo. I don't really understand why this is since you could put your fingers anywhere above the capo and it doesn't appear to change sound.

About two months ago I purchased an American Special Strat from Guitar Center. After purchasing it i took it to a local music store to get it set up because there was some fret buzzing. Practice. Remember, a lot of electric guitar is actually hammer ons and pull offs. You dont have to pick absolutely every note. Practice the angle of attack, upstroke and downstroke. Also practice string skipping patterns. Have fun!!

Usps is getting me extremely pissed!!?

I am doing extensive research to find the best (cheap) dental treatment (not braces). I live in Canada but I avoid Canadian dentists because they are outrageously expensive.
