NEED HELP! my new neighbor is 7'5 tall! Should I tell my basketball coach?

He is 17 and came from ghana 4 days ago. Sadly he came to America with his mother because his dad and brother were killed in a car accident. His mother speaks ok english but her son doesn't. I tried playing basket ball with him, but he doesn't seem to know how to play much. He knows how to dunk though and has good body movement. He does not go to school at all, but we hang out and play video games at his mothers house. My question is should I tell my basketball coach? He does not have an education at all and doesn't speak much english at all. I live in California.
