Is Accra, Ghana or Zurich, Switzerland a better airport for connecting flight?

I'm traveling to Kenya in July and the two cheapest flights connect through Accra, Ghana airport and Zurich, Switzerland airport. My biggest concern is if they speak English. I'm sure they do, but I don't speak any other language and would be in big trouble if they did not. I'm also concerned about safety. I'm sure Zurich is very safe, but I don't know anything about Accra. That and I'm sure Accra's airport is no where near as nice as Zurich. I need to buy my ticket ASAP!
