I need to drop a class because I'm terrible in it.?

I need to drop a math class. I'm horrible at it and my professor really isn't the greatest. The only problem I have is that it puts me 1 point under what I need for financial aid/stay on campus. I have no intentions of returning to college next semester because I have other issues in my life that need to be worked out. I know of people who live on campus and have less credits than what I would have after I dropped the course and nothing has happened to them. I really don't know whats going on with that, but I don't want them to kick me off campus or charge me outrageously for something that at the moment I cannot mentally control.
